With 15 years experience in the camera department, and a background in lighting, my goal is to help cinematographers achieve their goals and maximize image quality. Besides overseeing footage offloading and backups, I monitor exposure & scopes, provide camera control, live color grading, and on-set dailies. After working as a West Coast DIT for about 10 years, I relocated to Chicago. I'm an IATSE Local 600 DIT.
Equipment: I provide equipment based on the needs of the project. Items like a cart with proper light shading, Flanders 25" monitors, scopes, grading control surfaces, LUT boxes, RAID storage, 24-core Mac Pro computer, and software such as DaVinci Resolve Studio, and LiveGrade are included in my DIT station. When helpful for location and exterior work, I supply a blackout tent and sprinter van to work in – especially useful in remote work in the deserts around the southwest.
